Investigators are looking into brake failure as a possible cause of Friday’s terrifying sightseeing bus crash in Union Square, San Francisco Supervisor Jane Kim said Monday. San Francisco police would not confirm the report, saying only that the investigation is ongoing, that they have no updated information and that investigations of this type can take several weeks. The bus crashed into construction scaffolding at the corner of Post and Stockton streets, where an Apple store is being built across the street from Union Square. About 20 people were injured in the crash, and five of them remained hospitalized Monday at San Francisco General Hospital. ......
